Modern Kitchen Designs from LFM Remodeling
Austin Kitchen Remodeling
lthough we all have kitchens in our homes to be able to cook and make food, the kitchen is oftentimes the centerpiece of our home. It’s where we have fun cooking together, have deep conversations, and spend time together making memories.
This is why LFM Remodeling considers the kitchen to be the heart of the home. We should give great attention to detail with a kitchen remodel to create a warm space that’s always inviting, enjoyable, and something you and your guests can’t stop looking at. Due to sizes and multiple different trades and materials that should be a part of this remodel, it makes kitchen remodeling cost more than almost anything else in the house. We have to consider plumbing, electrical, framing, and flooring involved with your remodel, just to name a few. Along with that, we can’t forget about the cabinets, the countertops, and the appliances that add to the cost.
LFM Remodeling is here to help figure out your desired layout and design along with the following elements:
Comfort
Choosing the right layout is crucial when doing a kitchen remodel. We have the ability to tear out the entire kitchen and reconfigure the layout to make sure we get the most out of the space. Maybe you want to go from a closed-concept kitchen to an open-concept kitchen that requires knocking out a few walls. Or maybe you want a new kitchen island. In almost every kitchen that we are working on, we are able to come up with great ideas for either minor or major changes to get the most out of the new kitchen and make it as comfortable and customized as you’d like. Whatever your desired result is, whether you need your kitchen to be utilized for a professional cook or you want a gathering space for your family, our goal is to listen well to your vision and give you options to get there. We always start by understanding your desired kitchen and helping you select the new layout.
Although most of the time, everything is possible, it’s not always beneficial to you and can be detrimental to your budget. For example, if the kitchen has a pitched ceiling and the customer wants the cabinets to go all the way to the ceiling, in order to make that happen, we’ll have to go with custom- made kitchen cabinets which can raise the cost of the remodel. In cases like this, during our pre-construction phase, we are making sure to give the customer a couple of the best available options. These options are based on our experience with information on how it can affect the complexity, price, and duration of the remodeling project.
Design
At LFM Remodeling, we believe that design is a form of art. The ability to select the right finishes based on the chosen layout is crucial to the final design look and the atmosphere of the new kitchen. Selecting the right finishes can be frustrating for some who don’t have the experience doing so. There are so many options – what will be the size of the tile? What color? Or what kind of countertop is best?! When trying to connect all of those together it’s important to follow a plan and try to be consistent with it. Many materials can look amazing in the showroom but when used together with other finishing materials, the combination may end up not looking so good. To prevent that we are offering a couple of options:
1. Our project manager will understand your vision and taste to help you select the finished materials.
He will also connect you with the right vendors, and who room to make sure you get attractive prices on your purchases. As a remodeling company that remodels homes on a daily basis, we deal with selecting finished materials for different layouts all the time. It’s easier for us to imagine how your space would look with different options and vie your advice based on our rich experience.
2. Selecting a matching design from our wide portfolio.
Over the years we’ve learned that choosing different materials from different combinations to create a whole new design might work but sometimes the result is not as desired and good as a planned approach. A good way to prevent this is to look at specific combinations of materials and use the exact same combination of materials (or very similar). The disadvantage of this option is that it’s less customized and you want to stay close to the referenced design as much as possible. The benefit of this is if you look at the kitchens from our portfolio that you like, we can get the look of your kitchen to match it, as long as those materials will work with the layout of your new kitchen. You will most likely be very pleased with the finished result.
3. Interior Designer.
If the first two options mentioned above are a little too basic for you and you want to take it to the next level, we can always connect you with our interior designer. In this case, you will have a one-on-one meeting with an experienced, professional, and skilled interior designer that will help you select the new layout, finish materials, and even the way those materials will be installed. For example, if there’s a decision to be made about whether the tile should be installed horizontally or vertically, the interior designer will help with that. In this case, we can provide you with a 3D design to help you visualize the look of your new bathroom. If you decide to do this we’ll start by setting a budget and based on that our designer can help you select the best route to take.
Sensibility
A kitchen remodel can differ greatly from a living room or bedroom remodel. Therefore, you’re going to have features in your new kitchen that you will use all the time and they will be a lot more complex to replace than furniture. These can be plumbing fixtures, electrical, etc. Our goal is to follow strict construction rules and local codes to make sure that your new dream kitchen is done right not only in the way it looks but also in the functionality of it. Our desire is that your new kitchen lasts years to com.
